My journey into visual storytelling started back in high school, where shooting photos for the school magazine gave me the perfect excuse to spend more time in the darkroom than the classroom.
Around the same time, my brother and I commandeered our dad’s Super 8 movie camera. We spent hours filming epic motorbike adventures and stop-motion animations; cinematic gold (according to our audience of five).
I later studied photography and film at a design school in Wellington, which gave me the chance to explore different styles and techniques across both mediums.
Today, I’m lucky to work with a wonderfully diverse range of clients, allowing me to continue doing what I love - telling stories through moving images. Along the way, I’ve picked up a few national awards and plenty of memorable experiences.
Whether I’m working in a studio, on location, or wrangling tricky lighting setups, I thrive on delivering strong visual results, whatever the environment.
I’ve also had the chance to collaborate with some incredible film crews, including a few tours of duty with the talented team at Wētā Digital during the production of The Hobbit films; a front-row seat to some serious movie magic.
If you’re after fresh imagery for your website, YouTube channel, shop-front or digital displays... I’d love to chat.
